audrey samson

With a M.A. in Media Design from the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam (2007), audrey samson is a media designer and artist working and living between Montreal and Rotterdam. As a member of the genderchangers collective since 2006, she led FLOSS and electronic workshops, co-organized the annual /etc festival (2008) and participated in winter camp, organized by the Institute of Network Cultures (2009).

Nelly-Ève Rajotte

With two bachelor’s degrees in art history and studio art from UQAM, and a master’s from the École des arts visuals et médiatiques (UQAM), Nelly-Eve Rajotte joined Perte de Signal in 2003. Her work is geared toward single-channel digital video and installation. She explores a sensory investigation that attempts to render an environment at once visual and aural.

Stéphanie Lagueux

New media artist Stéphanie Lagueux has worked as Webmistress and trainer at Studio XX since 2002. For the past few years, she has been working on The Sensible Lab –The Social Body: a video and web installation to which the public is invited to participate at: http://www.cliquezgenereusement.com.

She has received support for her creations from numerous art centres across Québec such as Axe NÉO-7, Daimon, Vidéographe, Vidéo Femmes and the Musée régional de Rimouski. She is Matricules’ Archives Coordinator, created over a period of three years.

Chantal Dumas

Chantal Dumas

Sound artist, Chantal Dumas explores the medium of sound through the production of audio fiction and docufiction, sound installation, composition and sound design. Her work includes a participatory dimension. She has produced over 30 narrative works heard and commissionned by european radios (BBC, Deutschlandradio Kultur, France Musique, Sveriges Radio, KunstRadio), Radio-Canada and art centers. Her work has received various awards, including the Opus Prize in music (Montreal) and the Bohemia and Phonurgia Nova prizes in radio.

Rickie Lea Owens

Rickie Lea Owens is a multi-disciplinary artist who crafts frolicsome animated bombardments and freaky circuitry. She is especially interested in extending the presence of drawing and gesture in everyday life. She creates animated, responsive video installations driven by audience participation. She also facilitates media literacy & animation workshops. Upcoming exhibits include a coin operated, 16mm film peep show installation in the storefront of LaCentrale/Galerie Powerhouse in Montréal, Québec in the summer of 2012.

Alejandra Maria Perez Nunez

elpueblodechina (a.k.a. Alejandra Maria Perez Nunez) Alejandra is a sound performer working with open source tools, circuit building and critical writing. She has taken part in collaborative projects dealing with psychogeography and social science fiction in Barcelona (www.redactiva.org et mapomatix.sourceforge.net), with collective writing and connected performance in Bruxelles (okno.be et www.constantvzw.com ) and with music and performance with France based Spectral Investigations Collective.
